EAST CHICAGO, Ind. — Homeowners say a noise complaint led East Chicago police to raid their apartment without probable cause. Now, they’re filing charges. WGN News obtained cell phone video of a police raid on April 28. In the video, an officer is heard shouting, "'Do you wanna get bit? Do you want to get bit for doing nothing? Put your hands up, rollover.'" The homeowners told WGN News they were hosting an anniversary party when police raided their apartment. LAFAYETTE, Ala. (WRBL) – An East Alabama businessman is facing with multiple counts of criminal littering after investigators found hundreds of filthy mattresses and box springs dumped in the woods along County Road 92 in LaFayette.The illegal dump site was discovered after a motorist saw the box springs and mattresses and alerted LaFayette Police on May 1. Chief Investigator Lt. Roderick Brock expressed disbelief when he first saw the site, stating, “I couldn’t believe the amount that was located in this area. CHICAGO — Some Chicago residents could get a chance to own a stake in the city's first casino. Bally's Resort and Casino filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission seeking approval. The company said it would offer a stake to residents who meet the qualification requirements. However, the number of ownership interests has yet to be disclosed and the price hasn't been determined. The man who killed a western Wisconsin sheriff’s deputy last weekend had an extensive criminal record in Minnesota that included serving time in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting an unconscious woman, according to state court records.Authorities said Jeremiah Daniel Johnson, 34, of Shakopee, fatally shot a St. Croix County sheriff’s deputy on Saturday evening before taking his own life. In an effort to finally rid the state of lead water-service lines by the next decade, Minnesota lawmakers are advancing a bill that would put $240 million toward replacement projects.The Minnesota Senate on Tuesday passed a bill 64-2 that would help cover a significant chunk of the $1 billion or so it will take to replace an estimated 100,000 remaining lead-containing service lines in the state.Ahead of Tuesday’s vote, bill sponsor Sen.
