Teen Killed in Bicycle Accident on Cecil Avenue [Bakersfield, CA] 16-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Bicycle crash near Driver RoadBAKERSFIELD, CA (October 5, 2023) – Early Saturday, a bicycle accident claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy on Cecil Avenue.Emergency responders arrived at the scene at approximately 7:36 p.m. on September 30th, just east of Driver Road. According to reports, a 2019 Ford traveling westbound collided with a bicyclist under unknown circumstances.The impact sent the cyclist onto the road. The driver of the Ford continued northwestward until colliding with a wooden telephone pole, and finally coming to a halt in a nearby dirt field.Shortly after, the 16-year-old boy riding the bicycle was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed to the public until his next of kin is notified.
